Wisconsin Lutheran School (WLS) is a school for students in grades K4 (preschool) through eighth grade established to provide high quality Christian education and training. All that we teach is based upon Scripture, which we hold to be entirely the Word of God.

We strive to achieve two objectives. We seek to prepare children for eternity by learning about Jesus and his forgiveness. We also seek to develop good citizens for our community and country. Jesus stated that these are the greatest of all the commandments: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind" and "Love your neighbor as yourself." We seek to instill this in our children by example and instruction. The Lord is gracious to promise that he will see that all other things are added to us according to our needs. (Matthew 6:33)

Wisconsin Lutheran School has been established and is supported primarily by the members of First Evangelical and Water of Life Lutheran Churches. In keeping with the Lord’s directive to let the little children come unto Him, our school welcomes children whose parents are not members of the two churches. Wisconsin Lutheran School and its affiliated congregations are members of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS).

Since the 2011-2012 school year, WLS has been a participating school in the Racine Parental Choice Program (RPCP). Students who live within the boundaries of the Racine Area School District and meet specific income limits are eligible to receive a voucher from the State of Wisconsin for the cost of their education. Applications begin in February and end in August. Most of the RPCP seats are taken by the end of March. Current income limits and additional information on the RPCP can be found on the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction website. or contact the school office for more information.

Racine Parental Choice Schools are required by Wisconsin State statute to post a copy of the school’s accountability Report Card. The most recent Report Card is for the 2022/2023 school year.

State statute also requires that we provide access to information on all the educational options available to children who reside in our area.  Please use the following link to access Educational Options.

Statement of Non-Discrimination... Students of any race, color, nationality, and/or ethnic origin are admitted to all of the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally available at the school. WLS does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, nationality, and/or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, and athletic and other school administered programs.
